Hi everyone,
I'm going to the Captivating women's retreat in Feb '09. I'm really excited about it. My husband went to the Wild at Heart Boot Camp in Oct. although he had to leave on Saturday morning to come back and preach a funeral. He's hoping he can go to the one May "09. He's the pastor of Red River Cowboy Church in Sherman Texas. I posted two pics of him on the site. He went up several days ahead and went on a fishing trip.
I'm looking forward to making new friends and getting to know some of you before the retreat. I hope I know how to use this site. It's a wonderful to have it.
Karon;)
Wow, forgot how good you did in delivering our 3 sons. All strong, intelligent, handsome, and born again. Looking at our family pic reminds me of the heritage and strength God has blessed us with. What a life! I love you!
Sorry for the delay. Outlook has been throwing Ransomed Heart messages into my Spam file. Anyway, I have the pictures. just let me know where you want them e-mailed to.
Karon,
thank you for leaving me a note! i'm not on the computer alot, but i do check my email a few times a week. I am a nutritionist and i specialize in pediatric special needs. So, I travel about 500 miles a week, as I see the kids in their homes. For this reason, I am not often near a computer. I see some kids in Denison, so I am there a few times a month. I would love to meet someone who has been to the Captivating retreat and understands the dynamics of that message!

Hi Karon,
It was a pleasure meeting you at the Captivating Retreat. I am sorry that I was so rushed and distracted at the airport and did not get to speak with you more in depth. How did you sinus surgery go. Hope all is well.
Karon, it may sound cliche, but take it to the Lord. I witnessed my own mother going through a similar situation in her marriage to my Dad. Yet, it took perseverance and her trust in the Lord to have her prayers answered. That may not help you now but I have seen the prayers of a righteous woman answered.
Continue to trust the Lord to lead you and fill your heart with hope. I know from experience that the Lord is the only one who can give you what you stand in need of right now.
Lord, I ask that you hear the cry of Karon right now. May she know, without a doubt, that you have nothing but good in store for her because she is your child. In spite of the circumstances, may Karon feel the burden lifted and turned over to you. Lord, may your peace and grace fill her heart.
HI Karon,
Welcome to the forum. It has been really fun to meet and be able to talk to a number of the ladies that will be attending this event. I can't wait to get started. On the other hand I know I will miss my little girl when I am gone. We are attached at the hip and the heart but I know it is good for both of us.
I love all the ladies with fishing pictures up. Looks like your husband enjoys trout fishing. I did a lot of trout fishing when I was a young girl then I lived in a Alaska and aquired a taste for Salmon, halibut and crab then our family adventures took me to Mexico where we fell in love with yellow tail, trigger and dorado. We've become fishing folks.
See ya soon,
Debbie
