Hi Ellen. Hey, about that last message i just sent you in response to your invite to be my friend, i want to apologize for going off on you with the whole brain thing. I wasn't quite sure what you were referring to in your comments. Perhaps maybe it was my problems with the church instead. I'm extremely sensitive right now to criticism, verging on paranoid and i sometimes just react without thinking first. Anyway, i'm sorry. Please just say whatever you want, without fear of being attacked for your comments. Thanks. steve
Hi Ellen. Thanks for wanting to be my friend, but i'm not sure how to take your comments. Did you agree with the things i said or were you "lit up" by what i said because you don't agree with the premise that mental illness is an medical illness of the brain, just as any other illness of the body is below the neck and should be treated as such, instead people looking at it as being a moral weakness, or a sin problem (same thing i guess), or spiritual attack of some kind. Because most people including Christians are just plain ignorant when it come to this subject. Because i've prayed about this for a long time and have taken the time to educate myself and this is what i know to be true. So if you don't agree with me, i will still be your friend, but i really don't want to discuss this any further. I've done it so many times with people over the years an am just too tired to continue. Plus for the most part it's just a wasted my time. I've got more important things to do like renewing my mind by the reading of the Word, cause that's the only answer. The brain can be re-wired so to speak, even if it has been damaged by bad genetics and early childhood trauma like mine was.
