Glad to meet you and your lovely family. "God is good" is evident in your family pictures. We will inherit my daughter's Boston next week when she gets married. Unfortunately, her husband to be is alergic to dogs and they can't have dogs in their new apartment. I've asked her if she'd reconsider getting married.
I've taught for 26 years in a private Christian high school teaching a variety of subjects. Through the years Bible and World History have been the main stays.
I don't know if you have seen my "Discussion Issues" blog on "What is God Up To" but about a month ago I lost my teaching contract for next year. Our school has lost close to 100 students in the past three years. As a result the school association will have to close one of the grade schools and cut 8-9 teachers -most of whom are on the top of the pay scale.
I've gone through a grieving process in the last few weeks trying to imagine what life will be like without teaching. I'm asking God for a renewed vision of where He would have me serve Him in the next chapter of my life. Though it has been difficult, I'm beginning to see this more as an adventure with God.

We are 12 miles north of Hagerstown, MD in South Central PA. Gettysburg is 38 mile ne from us. The MD/PA line is only five miles from my house. I've been through part of S VA. Martinsville, Bedford, Appamatox, Walton's Mtn (I forget the real name now), Waynesboro, Lexington, Etc. Beautiful part of the country.
