I'm just getting back to the site after some months away and am so encouraged just by reading your comments and the sharing of your hearts together. The last several months have been filled with great highs as my kids find some healing, and deep low…
Linda...Forgiveness is that thing we must keep doing sometimes - over and over. Focusing mostly on the "doing of THAT", and not so much on the "act or words" we're doing our best to forgive. I DO get the ANGER part though. This God-given emotion ~ ANGER ~ and I are quite familiar with each other. I'm such an "anger expert" in fact, that I teach what I call an ANGER RELIEF CLASS at my church from time to time. This class is NOT an "anger management class". That would be nearly impossible for ME to teach. My particular class is designed to identify WHAT "anger" really is ~ it's many facets and such ~ and is scripturally-based to help the person(s) in my class to know how to use God's Word to get "relief" from it's grip of binding us and the blinding qualities of anger itself.
Hey Linda...I have to leave a comment for you about "Forgiving the Unforgiveable", by David Stoop. I have recommended this book more often than any other book I've read for personal enjoyment, or for my practice. I'm a therapist, and I frequently counsel those who are having a "forgiveness" issue. David opened my heart again at a time in my life when I had such difficulty with a certain person. He also gave me a deeper understanding of WHY it is so important to forgive. Mr. Stoop has become one of my favorite authors, and I am currently collecting all of his books that I can. Bless you for the reminder of it, and may you and yours have a wonderful Christmas. Ruth

Jonathan, I remember years ago God healed me physically of a bad back. My friend prayed for me, was not touching me herself, and I felt this warmth on my back and then presuure, more pressure, till eventually the bone that was out of place God put b…
Eve, I am a very "self protective" person, however, when God asks me to go to church or mix with christians that puts me in my "uncomftable zone" I will do it because I love His body. So I do think it is possible to be both self protective but not w…

Was praying for you Deborah - that He would shine His light so you will be able to see the truth from the lies, renounce "agreements" you have made, and come into a larger place of freedom . . .
When studying the verse, "Come unto me (Jesus) all ye who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest. Learn of me, for I am meek and gentle of heart," I read one author defining meek as being the opposite of anger - which led me to James whe…
