Dave, I just saw your post...not sure how I missed it before...but this is a great summary of your experience with Jake.
I look forward to helping other dads transition their sons out of Guyland and into real men who know who they are and what they…
Hi Gary,
Your question on involving dads is a great one. Most of the occasions where I have been witness to a grandfather's or step grandpa's involvement in a passage experience have been in the actual ceremony itself. I have seen grandfathers take…
In the process of writing Generational Fathering (with a group by that name here in RHnet). Co-author and soninlaw and best friend (all in one, very cool!) have a Tween nearing his 12th. Our excitement mounts. Today, 600 miles away in Utah, he and d…
I put some pictures on my page. Jim doesn't like to have his picture taken, but you will see one of him in a canoe flash by. The other guy is my brother, Jeff, and the girl on the beach is my best friend, Susan... both from Maine. We go to Maine every summer, most of my family is still there. The beach pictures are of Jacksonville, FL where we just moved from. Also son, Dustin and granson, Sean. Anyway, enjoy the pics!
It was awesome getting to know you better this go around. HAF was
awesome-this one was the best yet, thank you for meeting up late Thursday to tell stories and greet me. I felt your heart. I will be keeping you, your family and Go The Distance in my thoughts and prayers.

Kevin the Bold,
Looking forward to this weekend and what God has in store.
Everybody ends up on those dead ends at one time or another.

I'm sorry Nicholas - I got in a hurry and used the wrong name....I apologize.
I'm convinced that we all need good mentors....in life...and to help us decipher our callings.
How is the men's breakfast going? Any opportunity for a sage/mentor there?…

Jonathan, I remember years ago God healed me physically of a bad back. My friend prayed for me, was not touching me herself, and I felt this warmth on my back and then presuure, more pressure, till eventually the bone that was out of place God put b…
Eve, I am a very "self protective" person, however, when God asks me to go to church or mix with christians that puts me in my "uncomftable zone" I will do it because I love His body. So I do think it is possible to be both self protective but not w…
Thanks for your comment Isha.
Gary, your example also reminds me of how Jeus walked in perfect peace....no fear...yeah! I wana know Him more too! I want that peace that flows like a river and never ends! There is SO much more in Him!
Jim, welcome back!
I was wondering how your work with your teenage son was going! I am glad Pat flushed you out of hiding!

A group for Cigar/Pipe enthusiasts who enjoy a good conversation a little deeper than just sports or politics (although those topics aren't necessarily off limits!).
Was praying for you Deborah - that He would shine His light so you will be able to see the truth from the lies, renounce "agreements" you have made, and come into a larger place of freedom . . .
When studying the verse, "Come unto me (Jesus) all ye who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest. Learn of me, for I am meek and gentle of heart," I read one author defining meek as being the opposite of anger - which led me to James whe…
Just joined Ransomedheart.net... I'm in Colorado Springs and an aspiring writer, and looking for others who appreciate a walk with God that extends beyond "traditional" church walls. i see this group is small... but maybe we can stir things up? I lo…
