I attended the August 08 Bootcamp which started the "Great Awakening" of my heart. The weeks since have been one BIG demonstration of God's love, compassion and care for me.
In early February, I attended an Advanced Bootcamp (described as "Other" below) through a group called Boot Camp Northwest. The Lord used this experience to move me from awakening to the "Great Restoration" of my heart.
As a result, I have become part of a local band of brothers in Boise as well as a small group that reminds me of a redemptive community described in Waking the Dead. Continuing to learn to live from my GOOD heart.
I live in the wild state of Idaho and work in the computer field.
Looking for allies and brothers throughout the northwest and the rest of the country. Drop me a line and say hello!
What Ransomed Heart events have you been to?

Hi Keith,
Welcome to Waking the Dead. Just as a point of info: Laura, I think, has left the site, or anyway she hasn't been on here in quite a while, for personal reasons as I understand. We were friends while she was here, and on the forums before that. She left the admin part, approving new group members, to me, and you'll see it's been lively again lately. It has tended to be very slow, almost dead (hah!), punctuated by activity like the past day or so.
hi everyone sorry have'nt on here there's been alot going on around here.I've gone back to work after almost 9 months out from my job. so all of you have a wonderful day.
Kieth-
The weekend was incredible- the Lord did move in a BIG way. We went from 22 to 50 attendees in the last 3 weeks! The reports from some the mens wives are incredible too. Thanks for asking. We are in awe of the whole thing.
We were planning it for about 6 months. There were many types of warfare but the most common was personal attacks on the team- discouragement, major family problems, diminishment, disqualification, etc. There was also some intimidation and the spirit of defeat. We were in frequent contact with each other and used our BOB's heavily. We prayed for each other and used prayer lists. We sent prayer requests to the Ransomed Heart intercessors just before the event and they were good enough to be praying for us the week of the event, which was huge. We had mostly family and friends- close allies and some of the guys from Advanced boot camp who agreed to pray for us. Prayer covering is so huge- I'm glad you are aware of that. My advice is to get all you can. We had an intercessor team leader who coordinated much of that . The battle will be fierce. But if God is with us, who can be against us?
Best of luck with your event and consider me an ally. I will pray for you all. May God show up for you as he did for us! Rob
Hi Keith, I haven't been chatting too much later and just discovered you are a fellow Idahoan. I pastor the Community Church in Weiser. Although I have not been to any WH events, I did take a group of my men through the WH video curriculum several years ago. Randy wrote and asked about a southern Idaho gathering. I would certainly be interested. Hoping and praying all is well with you and yours. Where do you fellowship?

Keith - glad to hear you made it back to Boise. I'm excited to hear what God calls you to next...or what doors he opens to calls you may have already had. ;)
I had surgery the week after I got back from camp because the tear was so bad - three of the four tendons completely torn away. My recovery has been good - I have complete mobility in all directions and am working on strength. I had a great surgeon (hand picked by my daughter and wife who work in a same day surgery facility).
Wow Keith - must be in the water because I did the same thing except I don't have a good excuse like basketball. I tripped on the auditorium steps the last night. My doctor said it was the worst tear he had seen. It was my right shoulder also. How is your therapy coming?
I live just north of Atlanta. The original spelling of my last name is Gillett. When my Dad joined the Navy they added an E and it never came off. My people are from Nebraska.

Keith, found you on the God Fathering group. thought I'd like to meet you. Found you just up the road in Idaho (well, a long road. I'm in SoCal). But i did just correspond with an old friend, the editor of the Ransomed Heart, a compilation of stories. Rebeka Garvin. They are inviting anyone on the RH net to Thanksgiving. Might be a trip. I think they're near Kalispel. I love that place. That's where my log home was assemble for the ranch in Colorado.
I want to invite you to drop in for a visit on the group I just opened up to explore the fathering theme in a particular way, generational fathering. I want to encourage younger dads to pass the Story down, maybe hand pages of your own father's or grandfather's stories to your children. Take a peek and see if you have anything to contribute, maybe take away. Bring your story with you.

Anyhow, hope you get something out of it.
