I know what you mean. No, I don't think it's anything why there are 2 of these.
I started one one day because I had been posting quite a lot of photos. Then some folks started posting photos at my site, so I started a group, Shutter Speed and Painting with Light. The next day, I saw a new site with Photography. It's OK. I don't see it as a problem, just more opportunity to share.
I have a Nikon D100. I really like it. I just mentioned Nikon as I recognized your camera as one. You mentioned you shoot in a gym. You do the team photos for your school? I use to own a photography studio in Washington state for 12 years. Conway and Company Photography. We did portraiture and commercial photography. I really enjoyed it. Now, I live in Alaska and just try to enjoy the opportunities to photograph whatever I see. My wife and I now own a fly fishing lodge, so that takes up much of our time in the summers. Winters I spend driving school bus Jim and marketing our business. What do you do besides take great pictures?
