Soul Revolution

What an awesome God we serve. John Burke at Gateway in Austin wrote a book called Soul Revolution and his whole church is in the 60/60 experiment where you get a watch with beeper and for 60 days you set it to beep every 60 minutes to remind you to fellowship with your creator and talk with him and change the habit of not talking with him as Paul said- Continuously as in The word. I am just short of 30 days into it. One of the things God brought to me after me and my wife went and watched The mo… Continue

Hi Jam63, so nice to make your acquaintance. How did you find me?
I just read your blog, Soul Revolution, that 60/60 challenge sounds very intriguing. How did it go for your and your wife?
Blessings to you, Pat

Hi, we have the same initials (if they're your initials). My drawing of the baby boy is pencil. I prefer it for small stuff as it is easy to control. I use charcoal in pencil form (white as well as black) when working large on cardboard with indian ink. The football pic is cool- cross hatching is really effective : )

Jam, thanks for dropping me a line. What kind of bike is that you and your bride are on? My in-laws' passion is their custom building/repair shop for "American V-twins" (aka Harley's) in central Illinois. We don't ride ourselves, but perhaps one day will get a bike - we live about 3 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway in western North Carolina. Hope things are well for you in Alabama -

Jam,

Glad to see you're interested in more of what Life has to offer. Great drawing of the Vikings. Our fly fishing group is just one of those avenues you can use to enrich your leisure fellowship with fly fishermen who love Christ. I hope to see you around the Fly Fishing club house with more participation and fellowship. May the Lord bless you brother! Catch you later...Mark

I'm sorry Nicholas - I got in a hurry and used the wrong name....I apologize. I'm convinced that we all need good mentors....in life...and to help us decipher our callings. How is the men's breakfast going? Any opportunity for a sage/mentor there?…

Eve, I am a very "self protective" person, however, when God asks me to go to church or mix with christians that puts me in my "uncomftable zone" I will do it because I love His body. So I do think it is possible to be both self protective but not w…
