No, you're certainly not the only one who has Murphy's luck when it comes to hunting, it strikes me somehow at least once a year (generally more) when it comes to getting away. So far i've had no luck at all (unless you count bad luck) on the hunts. Nebraska was a bust for anything worth shooting at and Oklahoma was the same. I saw a "borderline" shooter opening morning and then a nice buck with a drop (probably 160ish) that night but couldn't get on him fast enough as the light was fading too quickly. Kansas should be fun if Murphy doesn't reach out and grab me. Good luck to you.

Great to meet you. I'm assuming when you say Red Cloud, that you're referring to Nebraska (I don't know where Red Cloud KS would be)? It's not too far North of the KS/NE border. I've got family down in that area and have hunted the Republican River down there as well, there are some big boys hanging out around the area. Gotta run for now, I've got to be in OK in the morning and haven't left Nebraska yet! talk to you soon...and good luck with the hunting!
