You probably don't remember, but you asked me BACK IN FEBRUARY, if we went to 12Stone. I joined Ransomed Heart and then never went back to it until now. I almost didn't comment back to you due to the gap in time, but was curious about the church. We live close to it but have never thought to visit. We knew it used to be Crossroads and frankly a large church was the last place I wanted to be. We used to be members at Victory World Church in Norcross for 8 years. We were in leadership and really got burned out. We moved to Virginia for a time and are back in the area and have been seeking a church for a while. What can you say about 12Stone?
Eddie,
I don't know if we talked about a time. I am meeting someone at the Starbucks on Mansell Rd of GA400 (near the Lowes) from 10-12. So I'm good before that or after that. Is that location good for you?
Let me know what time works for you and if that place is good.

Eddie,
I don't think I mentioned it but our next retreat is Thurs, May 14 - Sun, May 17 in Dahlonega. Perhaps you can join us. Check back w/ me for details.
Sorry I haven't replied sooner than today. I had one of the most unusual weeks of my life last week and got distracted a bit. Can we get together on Monday? That is, if that is still a day off for you. I'm a Starbucks addict but can go elsewhere if that doesn't work for you.
I'm thinking that there may be some things that will develop on a day other than Saturdays in the not-too-distant future. Let me know if Monday works for you next week -- and what time.
Eddie,
Our Band of Brothers (affectionately known as BANDO) is shares 2 things: shared Mission and shared Friendship. Most of the guys who are part of it have come through the "Retreats" or "Boot Camps" that we do. I say "we". Three of us originally stepped out to take friends out to experience the Gospel message from Wild at Heart. We began in 2003 with 10 men. Our last retreat was last month w/ 54 men. Our website is www.thereisamssion.com.
As you may have discovered, most men's groups fail in 8 months or less. They simply don't have a true shared mission. And there are many different and great missions to share. Ours is to 'set the hearts of men free, to heal the broken hearted, teach men how to find their place in the Larger Story and to learn to fight well there." We use several venues to accomplish that. We do 4-6 'boot camps' each year. I do an 8 week Calling Roundtable several times each year and we meet (BANDO) every Saturday in Alpharetta to gain strength for the battle. Typically, guys come after they have attended an event. That way, they know what they are getting into. If this is something you want, we should meet for coffee and chat. Thanks for reaching out. Let me know your thoughts.

That would be great. It certainly is a ride with dips and turns that are unexpected. Trying to look at them as fun. I agree let's stay in touch
I'm sorry Nicholas - I got in a hurry and used the wrong name....I apologize.
I'm convinced that we all need good mentors....in life...and to help us decipher our callings.
How is the men's breakfast going? Any opportunity for a sage/mentor there?…

Eve, I am a very "self protective" person, however, when God asks me to go to church or mix with christians that puts me in my "uncomftable zone" I will do it because I love His body. So I do think it is possible to be both self protective but not w…

Was praying for you Deborah - that He would shine His light so you will be able to see the truth from the lies, renounce "agreements" you have made, and come into a larger place of freedom . . .
