What's the Use???

A few days ago I wrote a tiny segment in our newsletter under the heading, "What's the Use..."
It amazed me how much that resonated with people. I’ve had multiple conversations this week where this seems to be a central theme. For many it was more about how they are trying hard to love others. For some it was about standing up for righteousness in a world bent toward corruption. For most it was about their own battle to love God and feel loved by Him. It sounds something like; “what’s…

- Who is Darrin? What a good question. Darrin is "Gaelic" meaning "great". I am a man saved by grace and desirous of becoming God's man. If you ask my grown children they will tell you I am and great father though I was not an easy man to live with in their early years. If you ask my wife she would tell you I am a compassionate protector of my family, loyal to a fault, a risk taker, her outlaw, and a leader of men. If you asked the people that listened to me preach for the last twenty years, they would tell you that I am a pain in the ass and a challenger of traditional sterile Christian practice. If you asked God..... He may tell you that I am a scared child like most men, the class clown, a poser.... His child. Spent most of my life trying to figure out what God wanted to do with me or through me and now am finally learning to seek what He wants to do in me. It's a journey that is exciting, scary, tedious, free and worth whatever it cost. I just hope that one day Jesus will tell me I was a great danger to the enemy and a great joy to Him...

I share your parrion for the hearts of men. I dream still of a big picture ministry here in the Missouri area. I am still working hard for our King reven only with 3=5 men at a time.
Please pray for The Phalanx Brotherhood to catch fire here. Ecc 4:12 and Micah 6:8

I apologize for the lengthy delay in this answer. I travel a lot with my job plus have had a few battles since your last comment to me. However, with my loving Christian wife, and Ransomed Heart, my church, and my Christian friends i think I am doing okay.
Please keep me in the loop for the more localized (Mid-Atlantic) boot camps. It is my heart felt desire to attend one of these sessions.

Please send your best wishes and prayers to Darrin Koone and his band of brothers who are putting together their dangerous heart boot camp which is coming up in June! I am sure that God will use them to touch many hearts with the "Wild At Heart" message and that Jesus will do what he came to do... " Set the captives free"
