Man, I must have sat with my mouth open for all the time these good people were there. I still want to experience Bethel!!! I would love if you did too, but I am going one way or another bud!!! What a Blessing you have been to me, and starting with the 2008 Boot Camp, my life is just a little more adventurous from day to day! My goal? To let God direct me as you allow Him to in your life! For the past couple of years, I have been on a journey to get Sandy healed....mainly through the Holy Spirit.
I don't know if I told you a couple of years ago...maybe 1-1/2, I was even going to take her to North Carolina. There was a Christian Movement there that spread from Florida...commonly called a Revival. Did I share that with you?
Anyway, last year, two of the main guys from my first Retreat actually went back there!
I got a chance to talk to one of them last on this last Retreat. His name is Chris. I asked him if he thought it was real? He said unequivacably real! In fact he helped lay hands and saw people get out of wheel chairs. He said God's presence was palpable. He said that 5 feet away, a man had cancer on his face. When they (not him) but others layed hands on him, he saw the cancerous skin fall from him his face the moment he was touched!!!
He told me that one of the main guys who was there, was Bill Johnson. This Bill Johnson is a Pastor of Bethel Church in Redding. He is world renown for Faith Healing. Chris said he had a dream about shaking his hand, and that Bill called him by a name. It sounded to me, because Chris shared it with me, as someone speaking in tongues. Chris said he was going to go there to shake his hand and ask him if that name meant anything to him.
I said since your going down there, please stay at our house, and we will take you the rest of the way so I can take Sandy there.
Pastor Johnson has healed thousands. They even have healing rooms where people can have privacy and it won't disturb the regular Church Service. The website is

Now let me switch gears here. About a month and a half ago, one of my employees bet me he could sell an item. I said I would bet lunch he couldn't. Well week before last he did. I had forgotten about it. So, last Thursday, I said alright today's the day you get paid off, that's curious item number one. I said let's go at 1 o'clock, but another employee asked if we could wait just a half hour more because she had a conflict, so we went at 1:30...item number two. We had planned all along on going to a particular restarant, but at the last minute he asked if we could go to this other because they had great hamburgers which I hadn't tried. Yep, item #3. We talked about work and his personal life, which had strayed from the Lord, and then I turned the conversation to Bill Johnson. Item #4.
Now for two years I had been seeking the Holy Spirit, and hadn't found what I was looking for. My Church kind of plays down that aspect. It's definitely not Charismatic by any means. The past couple of months, I had been really praying to God for a sign to signify either I was on the right path, or to stop. Two years of seeking and two months of praying for some kind of sign.
Back to the four "items"....if any of those hadn't happened, we would have missed it, because we were just ready to leave when our "friends" arrived!
When I mentioned the name "Bill Johnson"...an extremely COMMON name, two couples who had set down next to us all turned. One man asked if I was talking about the Pastor from Bethel Church in Redding? I said yes, and he said they had just come from there!
Now if that wasn't strange enough since Lakeview has only twenty-five hundred people and about 10 restarants, that they came to that one, but they had just left Bethel!
They asked why I was interested in it. I said because of Sandy my wife. After driving 5 hours, and having to go another 7 to their home in Boise, they asked if I would take them to Sandy so they could lay hands on her!!! Would I do that or worry about the long drive home...hmmm... :-). I said...well...I don't know, let me call her.
Now imagine Sandy's reaction. Hey Hon, I want you to drop everything and come down so complete srangers can lay hands on you in a very public place because I know you have to have the house spotless if someone comes out there!!! Her reaction? Okay, I'll be right there! That in itself was a miracle!
While she was coming, they said they felt that my employee needed hands laid on him because they felt God wanted them to. They did, and all four "felt" that Shaun was destined to minister to others, and had strayed some how. The fact is Shaun used to be a youth Pastor. Shaun ended up crying like a baby!! They told him God doesn't care about his smoking and drinking a little like he does, but that God wanted him to "come home".
David, who is a Pastor in Boise, then said they had gone down there to Bethel to attend a Conference, and that he and his wife weren't looking for any Spiritual Healing. Deb, his wife said a person approached her down there, and asked if he could touch her neck? She said yes. He said I feel you have pain there. The fact is, she had athritis there since she was 8, and was now 53!!! He laid hands on her, and almost instantly, her neck had full movement!!! In fact she had a muscle mass on her neck that had completely disappeared!!!!
Well, about this time Sandy walked in. They talked to her and hugged her. Then asked if they could lay hands on her.
Now mind you, these two couples looked like upper middle class average nice people. Caring people, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Immediately, or really after a couple of minutes, one of the ladies asked Sandy about Sandy's relationship with her mother!!! She said she felt God's love and healing being blocked, and felt that Sandy had some unforgiving feelings buried deep down that was blocking "things". Sandy said she thought she had forgiven her Mom, but did as they said and stated forgiveness again.
Chris...I am inserting thsi because I didn't put it in the email. Danada, who is a very nice lady already knew. One of the worst instances for Sandy growing up was: she at about 5 years old, ahd gone to a neighbors house. Not good. Her mother was livid. She stripped her down, and made her sit for a half hour naked in the bathtup in clorox!!!! God knows what else she doesn't remember. The last retreat...if you remember, I asked if anyone else was stupid enough to ask about their wife's wound right off the bat to Glen? Well, I knew her wound. She has always staed she holds no anumousitytowards her mom....hmmm.. dunno. Anyway, back to the email:
They all hugged her, and prayed again. Then the owner came out and said "What's going on here? This ain't a Church"! Well, I hope something rubbed off on him too, and someday he will realize it! Anyway, Sandy asked if they wanted to come to our house, and they said if you want us to. (Sandy remember left to come down there from starting to vacuum..she isn't a clean freak, but the house does get cluttered) She just wants it to look really nice for visitors. This is amazing that she asked total strangers to come out without touching up. Totally out of character! They didn't, but would have if Sandy insisted.
From there I went outside and Pastor Dave did too. He asked to lay hands on me, and prayed that God's gift of the Spririt would be given to me. Then they left after hugs and waves.
Sandy said she felt her side becaome warm. She certainly isn't completely healed, but she feels better. She still might have some of that blockage...
Pastor Dave, emailed me and invited us on the 22nd, to a conference they were having at his Church that Friday and Saturday. They asked if we went to please stay at their house. All this after about a half an hour!!!
Now, did I get confirmation I was on the right track? Some may call it a coincidence...a real dilly if it was, but I think the LORD orchestrated the whole thing!!!!
