I thought I would start a group for all those who like to travel. Where have you been? Where do you want to go? Where would you recommend? Hotels? What to see? Where not to eat? Everything about it.

Hey Kenny, welcome here.

That sounds wonderful ... greetings to my beloved Israel!!!

Lots of plans! :-)

HI. I want to go to the waterfalls on the upper Jordan and camp out next summer in Israel. I want to go all over Spain and Mexico and Argentina.

I''ve never been anywhere internationally, except for San Felipe, Mexico when I was 12. I have dreams of vacationing in England for three weeks, and then spending three weeks in Japan (after they recover from the recent disasters).

This is a great topic for a group.

Courtesy of the US Navy, I travelled extensively in my twenties and early thirties to Europe, Africa, The Middle East, South America and Australia. Traveling is awesome! In the past few years, I've rediscovered the beauty of our own country. I realized that I'd seen a lot of the world, but I hadn't seen all that much in the United States. So that's my travel passion now... to deeply explore as much of the U.S. as possible.

Todd...I just joined this group and saw you are going to SF. You may already be gone and back! If you haven't made your journey yet, I encourage you to eat at Fleur de Lys! It is elegant, romantic and absolutely charming. The ceiling is draped with fabric, which creates such a cozy yet elegant atmosphere. The salmon is "to die for." Expensive, but well worth it!

My husband and I live in Arkansas in a town of 402 people. We like the small town but LOVE to travel. My husband works for the Christian Motorcyclist Association and travels all over the country with them pretty regulalry, I have traveled most of the country and quite a bit of latin America, but are very much looking forward to going to Europe. Paul (my husband) and I are going to go to Scotland, Ireland, and Great Britain for two weeks to Celebrate our ten year anniversary in 2012 since we didn't have a "real" honeymoon because we were young and broke when we got married. Does anyone have any good suggestions on how to plan a trip that you don't want to have completley planned out? I know that we want to start and end the trip in either Scotland or Ireland, and then get rail passes to travel while we are there, but not sure what to worry about, or how to book a flight and hotel for it... any suggestions?

HI ALL! :)

Diane...the CREATE channel is one of my favorite channels!!! :)

I have been to Sydney Australia, Athens Greece as a volunteer for the Paralympics, and went on a mission trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica when I was in HS.

I have also been to the Bahamas ...a small island Green Turtle Cay when I was a kid with my family and Nassau which was a port of call when I was on the Disney Cruise Line in 2003

Trips I have planned for the future...

A possible mission trip this summer to Swaziland, Africa with my church

another Disney Cruise next year for my 40th birthday (stops in Nassau and Castaway Cay (Disney's private island in the Bahamas).

I have also developed the urge to go on atleast a short term trip to Haiti but am not sure when that is going to be

TTFN :)
