Thanks for the welcome Gary! Just thought I'd mosey on over and see what y'all are all about. Love the ranch pics - and the blog looks like one I'll spend some time on.

So, Michael, saw your join up, but where's yer hoss? Tell us about yourself. Oddly, this is a pretty sleep outfit, so you don't have to worry about a stampede. The central message of our living in, walking in, even riding in THE STORY sets us apart. I'm hoping we can talk about it more.

Old cowboys never die, they just fade from the Internet. Or maybe all three of your are lurking awaiting a comment. Here 'tis. A question, really.

Can I ask you to consider the question below for us?

"Us" is Matt and I looking for positive (or painful) legacy story for our book, Generational Fathering, that illustrates the impact of one generation of fathers on another? Illustrations of intentional legacy out of godliness, prayer, and generational mentoring? Or, maybe, tale of the thoughtless residue from "sins of the fathers" from which God intervened and broke grandfather's bent?

One more question: Can you or anyone you know provide an illustration of father and son (step and inlaws included, maybe an uncle or even a surrogate) working together, intentional or "just happened", to co-parent in order to amplify the potential of postive godly legacy?

OK, this time 'round I'm serious. I launched the site built around the Cowboy Way. Would value any comments you would make, even tough ones, about the thesis, the cowboy flavor aimed at ordinary civilians, and what you think the effectiveness will be.

Dip in to www.generationalfatheing.com and send any thoughts through the site or to garyandmatt@gendads.com. Thanks pondas'

Guys, you need a cowboy lift? Go to the web site I just launched as the platform for my book. Would love to get a comment back from you as well.

Just discovered you, saddlemates. Just had to cowboy up with you. If yer interested enough, I'll point you to my blog, mostly cowboy. My new blog due next week, is in support of my and cowboy-therapist son-in-law co-authored book, Generational Fathering (with a RHnet group by the same name). It is totally framed by the Cowboy Way.

By the way, Jim, Windmill Meadow Ranch, just beyond Woodland Park, was our (and most everyone's) dream place. Sold it six years ago, but a cowboy still. When you get spare minutes and have interest, my blog ( www.newseason.us ) and my Webshots ( http://community.webshots.com/user/windmillduke ) may tell you more than you want to know.

Two grandsons at 9 and 11 joined in this year's cattle drive in Utah of 450 head with only eight other cowboys. Gather and herd through the narrows way up in a saddle back was the task of real men.

I can't get over how God shows us his beauty. This morning,I was drinking my morning coffee and looked to the east to watch the sun rise.I saw the horses grazing as the sun was coming up,heard the birds singing.WOW,what a sight.I thank God for giving us the pictures of him on a daily bases.
