I just joined the unemployment ranks. Again. I know there are others here. Let's band together to support and encourage one another and defeat the enemy who delights in our downfall.

Comment by DAVID A BARTON on November 13, 2011 at 8:55am Hello Mary
Long time no see or write I am sorry. for a while I was working but in August when i went home to see my Family when I got back they had given my job to someone else so I have been living on Plasma Money but do to an Accident last month I was unable to give for about 3 weeks so I have been a little short on Cash. I have applications out at several places but so far nothing I also have my AFLAC Licnese in Virginia but am getting it in Colorado this coming week and having no money has really got my Wife upset with me as I can't help support my Family right now and I feel bad about that. Please pray for me and my Family as we need all the prays we can get and this economy isn't helping. Take Care and God Bless David A Barton
Hello PeterC and Edenfire. As you can see this group has not been very active of late. I pray it is because others have 'graduated' into full time employment and now their interests lie elsewhere. I am still only partially employed in a part time temporary position. I will soon lose my home but at least I finally have some money for food and gas. Hoping others will respond here.
Peter I do see truth in finding what you love and doing it but basic needs still have to be met, in this economy that is so hard to do.

Comment by PeterC on January 10, 2011 at 8:53pm I've been hearing a great deal in recent months about pursuing your passion and how the excellence that comes from doing what you love you regardless of whether or not you get paid, will ultimately lead to opportunities where you will generate an income doing what you love.....because you will have naturally come to be the best in that "thing"
As I've focused more on my "ideal" life, I've found myself getting more creative, spending more time thinking of things I could do differently, what I would truly "love" to do, provided everything was "stable" and what I need to learn to get to that point. As my mom stated earlier today, motivation leads to momentum. Get motivated to go after it and eventually "it" will arrive faster and collide with your life for the ultimate ride. :-)

Comment by Aldo Ramos on January 23, 2010 at 4:20pm Busy, yes.
Good news: I continue working on my project, finally getting past a major obstacle.
But now a permanent position has opened up for me (unrelated to my current project). I am not yet hired, and I do have some reservations, but I am grateful to God and trusting Him to handle them for me.
Praise God, and take courage, everyone!
Comment by Aldo Ramos on November 25, 2009 at 12:40pm Agreed, Mary. The truth is the published unemployment number is just the people who are on unemployment benefits. The total percentage of people who are unemployed is over 17% (government’s own numbers), let alone those who are “underemployed” (part-time, or jobs well below their skill-level/pay rate).
“But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:19 Thank God His riches are not subject to the economy, government policy, environmental crises, or even our failures. Jehovah Jireh, God will provide. We must keep our eyes on Him, not on our circumstances, nor those around us. That’s why it’s called faith — if it were easy, everyone would do it.
On a positive personal note, I have finally received a payment for a project I am working on. Praise God! After setting aside my tithe, I have paid some overdue bills, and continue to sow seed into the Kingdom and hold fast to my faith.
