Hello Everyone! Hope you are doing well, actually hope you are doing Great!

Just was wanting to check in with everyone! God has blessed me with 2 Amazing Boys and I am looking forward to bringing them to be Mighty Men of God!

Interesting book is from Dr. Dobson on BRINGING UP BOYS. VERY GOOD BOOK!

Our next journey in Europe is coming soon from Paris to Geneva to the UK! God is doing amazing things and providing exactly what we need!

Anyone familiar with the Windsor - Maidenhead area in the UK? We are looking for a Church there.

Be Brave and Courageous!!! Oh and check out the new movie COURAGEOUS! It is available on iTunes the 17 of January. Excellent!!!

My wife and I run a small retreat ministry in Europe which might appeal to some of you. We take people away for heart alive adventures to beautiful places, good food and times of inspiration with our Papa. We have a room left on our retreat to the French Alpes in March (Champagny en Vanoise). In Feb we are running two retreats in Lapland Finland which are now full. In summer we are back in Champagny for some more heart alive adventures in Alpine meadows....you can see more at www.wildrest.org

We love John's ministry....

Did you guys go to sleep? Die? Maybe a long cattle drive.

Can I ask you to consider the question below for us?

"Us" is Matt and I looking for positive (or painful) legacy story for our book, Generational Fathering, that illustrates the impact of one generation of fathers on another? Illustrations of intentional legacy out of godliness, prayer, and generational mentoring? Or, maybe, tale of the thoughtless residue from "sins of the fathers" from which God intervened and broke grandfather's bent?

One more question: Can you or anyone you know provide an illustration of father and son (step and inlaws included, maybe an uncle or even a surrogate) working together, intentional or "just happened", to co-parent in order to amplify the potential of postive godly legacy?

I would like permission to continue with this group. As a song from the Wild West days says, "I can tell by your outfit that you are a cowboy." Hardly Eurpean. BUT I've been to every one of your countries among my 69 in military, business, or ministry (yes, I am THAT old!). I am in the long, slow process of writing a book, Generational Fathering (RHnet group here by same name).

I will mostly "hang out" in the background. One prime reason is to discover, possibly through private chats, how fathering and how generations in the European context are invested in the challenge of godly fathering. Americans are very scattered. Europeans have more tradition, as a whole, and don't travel as far from the family home. I want to be able to include insights from NON-Americans as to how coupling fathers from two or more generations can establish a legacy of good and godly children in the troubled generations ahead.
