Why I started the group...
My family has had to overcome a wide variety of trauma. There were times I was able to find good resources, but other times I had to struggle alone. It has been a journey of finding God in the midst of desperate situations...and finding Him faithful.
I started the group with the hope of helping people share good resources for various types of crisis. I hope this site will be a place where people can come to find and share the resources that have been helpful during their struggle.

Comment by Linda Paine on August 25, 2009 at 9:47pm - I'm just getting back to the site after some months away and am so encouraged just by reading your comments and the sharing of your hearts together. The last several months have been filled with great highs as my kids find some healing, and deep lows as I have struggled with the horrific evil that has found its way into my family. It is really difficult to speak about such pain with people who have not experienced some of it themselves. Even though each of us carries a burden of loss and pain, we can understand to some degree because the path we walk has enough similarities. Thank you for being here.

If not, then just be encouraged that you going there could be the only light they have. Yes, i'm sure it's overwhelming at times but remember how Jesus must've felt with the crowds pushing in on Him. The secret is finding time to draw aside alone with the Father and let Him refresh, guide and unburden you. There does seem to be a real shortage of counsellors throughout the country so pray that God will send workers into the harvest because the need is great. Remember, the battle is His, and we are on the winning team. I will remember to pray for you daily and alert others to do the same. Remember, we are in this together. If I could be there in person with you I would. Take heart and trust Jesus. After all, no one comes to Him unless He calls. Our part is to share His love and message of hope in a sad hurting world. Bless you sister xxx

- hi michelle. Hows your friend at the rehab? Withdrawing off substances can be a very emotional time but I feel God is there with her and His Spirit is brooding over her. There are people supporting you in prayer and His hand is mighty to save her. There are obviously very deep needs in this woman and my heart goes out to her and you also, carrying the burden. God bless you in His work. A time of prayer and fasting perhaps?

Then right at the top you'll see a little window with a "Browse" button next to it. Poke "Browse", go to the folder wherein you store the picture you want to use, and double-click the picture. Then Save your updated page. If that doesn't work, e-mail me: cherid1@hotmail.com

- Michelle, I am praying for you, for wisdom and the overflowing of the Holy Spirit as you visit this lady. I know someone who could be that lady, although I don't know about the suicide part. Anyway, my heart goes out to you, and I pray God's richest blessings on you in Messiah Jesus. And you reminded me to pray again for the lady I know, so thank you for sharing.

I would hope they could figure out that they are the same. I don't remember which one I signed up for.
Pat, Yes, these Agates are milestones. We haven't been camping for years. Some of these stones are from Agate Beach but most of these were found here in the San Francisco area. The Agates at Agate Beach aren't as big but just as pretty.

These are so beautiful, Gary. Makes we want to go to Agate Beach and start my own collection. I keep a small collection of pretty rocks and stones I’ve found here and there, but these are incredible. And even better are the memories that are attache…
