One second beer ad's during the Super Bowl 3 Replies

This is actually pretty smart... looks like Miller will be have a series of ONE SECOND commercials instead of ONE 30 second commercial. You can preview @ http://www.1secondad.com/

I really bucked up this year and gave up beer for Lent. Will contribute after Easter.

Two thumbs up for both Sierra Nevada's Torpedo Extra IPA and Founder's Double Chocolate Coffee Oatmeal Stout.

I finally got to try my Black Ale brewed at the beginning of November. It's taken this long to get it fermented and carbonated. Great brew! Chocolate Maltiness, with great clean lager finish. I'd be happy to share the recipe if anyone wasn't to give it a try. It's fashioned after New Belguim 1554. My neighbors are the Heene's (Balloon Boy family) so I dubbed the brew- Black Falcon Ale.

I must say that now winter is just about officially here its time for the Long Trail Hibernator! Its a Scottish Ale with a smooth malty taste. Long Trail also has several other good beers including there famous Long Trail Ale, which is most common to find in any liqour store.

My friend just found the Leinenkugel's Creamy Dark recently. I must say it is a very good beer. It has the full, deep blackish-brown color of a stout, without its bitterness. Don't let the color fool you. This is a tasty, smooth brew with a nutty, crisp finish. Mmm Mmm good.

There's a new beer in town and one I find delicious - Harpoon's Leviathan Series Imperial IPA. LOTS of hops. Also, a seasonal 'black as night' lager from Magic Hat called Howl. It tasted like a very good porter.

Deschutes Brewery - Black Butte Porter - super good! Very drinkable. Chocolaty, toasty, with a slight bitter finish. Excellent!

Last night I sampled a Big Sky IPA from Missoula, Montana. As I've posted before, I'm partial to IPAs and this one didn't disappoint.

In other beer news, is the Guinness 250th Anniversary Stout out? Is it a different stout? I want to try it and and shout "TO ARTHUR!!!"

I just read the hop selection and recipe for that brew and it sounds like a winner! I'll have to pick some up and give it a shot. At 9% ABV it's a big boy!

Pat, Yes, these Agates are milestones. We haven't been camping for years. Some of these stones are from Agate Beach but most of these were found here in the San Francisco area. The Agates at Agate Beach aren't as big but just as pretty.
