Honor God in everything. God honors those who honor Him. 1 Samuel 2:30

Forgiveness.

Not in the traditional sense, but in the sense when conflict arises, forgive, forgive because you understand that the conflict isnt about you or what is happening at the moment. Forgive because you are able to understand that the conflict is being caused by the other persons past pain.

When you can forgive in this manner, you can then settle down and enter into a deeper discussion and connection with the person. This is where love and compassion really shine!

Isnt that what God really wants to see from us?

I hold onto Dave Warren's quote...." God is not as concerned with our COMFORT as our CHARACTER... Many, many times in my life I look back and see how God's Love for me was true enough and strong enough to walk me through conflict and troubles, into HIS arms and HIS trust and HIS love. It really is about me and Him, not the external person or circumstances.

Thanks for this, John. It was the reminder I needed this morning!

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." -Psalm 37:4

(But I'd have to explain it, so it wouldn't be ultra-short... So many people use this verse to "claim" some possession or relationship they're seeking, but that's not what it means. It means when you put God FIRST, every deep desire in your heart will be met IN HIM... depth, passion, justice, lasting love, security, adventure, forgiveness, vindication, beauty, wholeness, etc.) Only God can meet those things, yet we often fail to seek Him first.

From a spiritual stand point I say Love the Lord with all your heart soul and strength. Try to maintain a constant focus on Him and always work on maintaining closeness with God for all of life flows from this. When I find myself struggling this is what I always turn back to. Life gets complicated but when we really seek God and have a heart for Him He will let us know what we need to know. The hardest thing I guess is to maintain this kind of attitude. But no matter what we've done or how far away from Him we have strayed He always welcomes us back with open arms.

Scott Coombe has written his autobiography "God Leaked from the Box". I AM NOT CONSENTING TO ANY mention of me (Troy Boylan) in his book(s). He states and implies several things concerning him and me that are untrue and defamation of my character. I have discussed this with him several times. He has continually refused to respect my wishes. Please save your money in support of real published authors who have earned the public trust by respecting people and the publishing laws that protect them.

Right now it would be...

You have a Glory. That Glory is God's Spirit in you. Live in that Glory. God is honored when you do. Too often we live in false humility, that robs God of His Glory.
